Do you want to make a difference in the lives of
retired racing greyhounds?

Southern Arizona Greyhound Adoption needs people who want to further the transition of retired race dogs to couch potatoes. The more solid core of volunteers we have, the more greyhounds we can help. As a volunteer, you can participate in regularly scheduled assignments like kennel turnouts and meet & greets around Tucson; or help on an as needed basis.

Here are some ways for how you can be a part of a dedicated group of people who strive to create happy endings:

Foster care – Greyhounds fresh off the track have no house experience; they never saw a TV, tile, stairs, kids, or other pets. Are you ready to watch a greyhound blossom from your one-to-one TLC and ready him or her for a forever home? (Greyhounds are generally quick learners.)

Respite foster care – A few nights of foster care after spay/neuter or reg. foster care person goes on vacation

Transport – Drivers are always needed to take a dog from the kennel to vet for surgery, etc.

For Active Go-Getters

Kennel turnouts – Hands-on, exercise dogs, bathe and/or groom, boundless hugs & pets, kennel housekeeping (Marana only)
