Jackie’s Fund - Helping the Injured to Heal
Jackie's Fund for Special Needs Dogs is an ongoing campaign to raise funds for Greyhounds with career-ending, race track injuries or life-threatening illnesses. The Fund pays for medical bills and gives the hounds the chance they deserve for a new life as a beloved pet.
Jackie was SA Greys’ first rescue with a serious racing injury. She came to us with a badly broken leg and required extensive and expensive surgery. It cost over $5000 dollars to repair her leg. Today, Jackie is a happy, healthy Greyhound in a forever home.
Thanks to generous donors, SA Greys raised over $65,000 which has helped over 21 dogs recover from serious injuries or illness. Jackie’s Fund paid for dogs with broken legs such as Storm ($2,384), Flint ($4,077), Indiana ($3,020), and Frosty ($3,659)
Jackie’s Fund pays for much more than broken legs. Your donation helps dogs like Shirley, who had an eye injury requiring removal ($1,818), or Kermit who broke his toe ($1,808), or Slick who had a urinary and intestinal blockages (over $5,000).
You Can Help an Injured Greyhound
Please donate today so the next sick or injured dog coming to us – and they will come - gets the same care as Jackie, Storm, Flint, Frosty, or Shirley. From January through July 2014, we have helped 10 injured or ill Greyhounds.
Remember your generous donation gives these dogs a second chance at life. A second chance, to find a happy, healthy forever home kind of life.
Thank you for donating. We hope it warms your heart to know your generous donation helps many dogs heal physically and find forever homes
100% of every donation goes to
helping these gentle hounds.
